Battle drills are pre-trained reactions to common combat situations.

Instead of:

“Uh… what do we do?”

Your Marines instantly know:

✔️ Where to move
✔️ Who shoots
✔️ Who leads
✔️ Who covers

It builds speed, teamwork, and realism.

1. React to Contact

When the unit takes fire.

Purpose:

Gain control of the situation immediately.

What happens:

• Marines return fire
  
  

• Get to cover
  
  

• Team Leader identifies enemy location
  
  

• Squad prepares next move
  
  

Simple version for RP:

Return fire → Get cover → Report contact

2. Break Contact

When the unit needs to disengage.

Purpose:

Safely leave a dangerous situation.

What happens:

• One team suppresses
  
  

• Other team falls back
  
  

• Teams alternate
  
  

Called:

Bounding retreat

3. Bounding Movement

Used when advancing toward enemy.

Purpose:

Move safely while under threat.

What happens:

• Team A moves
  
  

• Team B covers
  
  

• Switch
  
  

Movement stays controlled.

4. Room Entry (CQB)

For clearing buildings.

Purpose:

Enter safely and quickly.

Basic RP version:

• First Marine enters
  
  

• Second covers opposite corner
  
  

• Others follow
