Birthday Celebrations

If you would like to bring a snack on your child’s birthday, always check with your child’s teacher first for a list of acceptable foods and any food allergies that children in the class may have.  Parents are allowed to bring pre-packaged, individual snacks to celebrate their child’s birthday. Items should be dropped off at reception for distribution no later than 10:00 a.m. and labeled with student name and teacher name. Parents may not go to class to distribute birthday snacks. Birthday cake, hats, balloons or other celebratory items are not allowed.  The snack will be distributed during recess or at the end of the day as determined by the teacher and class schedule.

Invitations to your child’s birthday party should not be distributed at school unless the entire class is invited.  Invitations should be given to your child’s teacher.  Birthday parties are not allowed to be held during the school day.
