The research topics that I explored have changed and diversified over time. They always have been tied to my research program, which was oriented to theoretical and applied geophysics to develop geophysical techniques. My studies attempted to contribute to the model reconstruction and to describe the processes of the earth system at different spatial and time scales and also to give answers and solving practical problems having a social impact.

Hydrogeophysics - Characterization of contaminated industrial sites and in support of remediation techniques. -Monitoring of saltwater intrusion in the Venetian Lagoon and western Sicily with time lapse electrical resistivity tomography. - Water resource studies in Italy and in Somaliland.

-Geophysical characterization of medium-low and high entalpy geothermal reservoirs in Italy and Ethiopia.

-Geophysical studies in support of design of civil infrastructures, roads and quarries cultivation (Metropolitana Milanese, Pedemontana Lombarda, Variante S37 Morbegno, TEEM Milano, Cementerie Merone).
