In collaboration with Games For Change, The World Food Programme and Roots & Pixels,
I (as team lead) got the opportunity to make a game for the Xbox Game Camp Game Jam 2026 Belgium (what a mouthful).
The game jam's theme? Outgrow Hunger!
Our game, Orbital Fish Delivery, was made with the theme of overfishing in mind. All around the world, fish populations are getting reduced due to poachers. We wanted to tackle this issue in more of a humoristic manner by firing the fish from space so that they can resettle on the planet below.
In the game, we have hired YOU to help the fish out. Your goal is to guide the fish through hoops to increase their numbers, while dodging plastic pollution and fish nets. The more fish reach the planet, the bigger difference made you in the world.
That's not all! At the end of the game jam, out of the 37 teams and 3 themes, we managed to place:
#1st in the theme: Outgrow Hunger
#7th in the Community Awards
