ROBBIEANA LEUNG
Learning Experience Designer | Global Education Consultant | U.S. State Dept. Specialist
My Story: The Global Architect
I flew before I could walk. At just one month old, I was already on my first international adventure. Growing up across three continents—in Hawaiʻi, Australia, New Jersey, Hong Kong, and Singapore—I became a Third Culture Kid with a passport full of stories from 80 countries.
Today, I leverage that lifelong immersion to serve as a Learning Experience Designer and U.S. State Dept. Specialist. With 15+ years of experience across 8 global contexts, I specialize in bridging the gap between academic theory and global engagement: transforming traditional curricula into dynamic, digital-forward learning experiences.
My career has taken me from the world's busiest cities to its most remote—Easter Island—and across the high seas on three voyages promoting the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals. These aren't just travels; they are the field-sites where I mastered Global Citizenship Education and Strategic Partnership Building.
Key Career Highlights
"Film Pals" Global Film Festival: Designed and launched a 5-continent digital film festival to foster authentic language exchange through multimedia storytelling.
Literacy & Publication: Partnered with Filipino communities as a Peace Corps Volunteer to publish "Moalboal Tales", a bilingual Bisaya-English children’s book, that traveled to 35+ countries. This initiative provided many students with the first book they ever owned, bridging the gap between local oral traditions and formal literacy.
Diplomatic Consulting: Collaborated with U.S. Embassies and international institutions to design curricula that promote mutual understanding and peacebuilding.
Whether I’m talking with kids or Congress, I have learned that to be an educator is to be a peacebuilder. I view language not just as a skill, but as a bridge to new opportunities and deeper understanding. I create the systems where learners don’t just study: they connect.
I am always seeking the next high-impact collaboration that turns learning into a global legacy. Let’s build that bridge together!
