Are you interested in starting or expanding your art practice?
Don't avoid it thinking you're not good enough.
Don't wait until you have the right supplies, can create an art studio or learn master skills in your area of interest.
Build an art habit!
Start small, build comfort, do what's possible in the beginning, don't overtrain or overreach. Do what you can first, the skills will come later.
Start Here: let's look to your sketching habit.
Did you have a good sketching year?
What are you proud of?
What is one aspect to improve on in 2025?

Every habit starts with a practice, an action. The key is to keep it simple.
If you wanted to run a marathon? Most successful people start where they are. It might be as simple as starting with walking - maybe it starts with a walk around the yard, to the street corner, or around the block.
Start with what you have - not what you want or need. It's great to have the goal in mind but only used as a compass or guide.
To start running, you have to put on shoes, walk out the door, and start walking.
Don't overthink it!
Find a time that works for you.
Perhaps it begins as a 5 minute walk before you eat breakfast or when you come home from work.
Tell yourself the goal is NOT to run that marathon today, or even focus or worry about it.
Your goal is to build momentum. Momentum grows and can carry you beyond where you are today - and perhaps beyond where you imaging you can go.
Imagine where you might be if you walked 5 minutes every day! (Keep an open mind because the reality is that your momentum will lead you in ways you can't imagine right now.) It's likely that starting with that small habit will bring a feeling of satisfaction, and a very real opportunity to build skill and grow success.
The other option is to wait until you find the right time of day, the right day of the week, the right shoes, the right weather . . . and spend years dreaming about running a marathon.
