This page demonstrates my ability to identify problems in the educational system, conduct related research, and analyze findings.
Indicator 1: Identify contextual professional problems and issues within education and conduct related research.
Artifact 14, created for my EDF 622 course, is an action research plan I developed in preparation for conducting a research project for the course. The research plan identified a contextual problem: poor classroom performance, and it detailed my plan to determine the effects of peer groups on classroom performance.

Indicator 2: Critically analyzing and evaluating research findings and related implications.
Artifact 15, created for EDF 622, includes a summary and interpretation of the findings of my action research study. Artifact 16, also created for my EDF 622 course, is the presentation I made after conducting my research, in which I discussed my analysis and findings of my research project. In Artifact 17, written for EDF 665, I discuss and evaluate a study conducted by Sanae Mamnoun and Abdelhamid Nfissi, in which they examine the nature of sexism in secondary schools.

Indicator 3: Protecting the rights of human subjects by implementing ethical research.
Artifact 18, from my EDF 622 courses, is a transcript detailing my completion of a collaborative institutional training initiative program. This was a requirement before any research could be completed. The course was designed to ensure students understood the importance of protecting the rights of human subjects by implementing ethical research. Artifact 15, linked above, also details how I protected the rights of my human subjects by removing personal identifying information and using non-identifying markers instead.
