For prayer with the Word of God. Let us pray that praying with the Word of God be nourishment for our lives and a source of hope in our communities, helping us to build a more fraternal and missionary Church.

For the people of Switzerland, namely for those suffering as a result of the tragedy in Crans-Montana, for the young people who died, for the injured, and for their families.
Let us pray to the Lord.

For the people of Venezuela, for the pursuit of paths of justice and peace, for respect of the human and civil rights of each and every person, and for finding ways to working together to build a peaceful future of cooperation, stability and harmony, with special attention to the poorest who are suffering because of the difficult economic situation.
Let us pray to the Lord.

Let us pray, and show solidarity with the peoples who suffer because of wars.
Let us pray to the Lord.

We pray for the intentions of the Ariëns community:

During these winter days, we pray for those who got stuck on their way back from holidays and everyone travelling. We also pray for the homeless and the people living under poor conditions. May everyone have a safe and warm place to stay. Let us pray to the Lord.

We pray for the Catholic student community in Enschede, that we may find joy, inspiration, and peace in the activities we undertake together. Let us pray that students seeking for this group may reach us, and may they feel welcome and at home.  Let us pray to the Lord.

We also pray for peace in all places of conflict: for peace in the world, especially in Ukraine, the Holy Land, and parts of Africa torn by violence. We also pray for peace and charity with the people  we encounter in our every day life. Lord Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like unto yours. Let us pray to the Lord.

Magnificat

My + soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, †

my spirit rejoices in God my Savior *

for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.

Saint Michael the Archangel

St Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
