For the respect for human life.
Let us pray for the respect and protection of human life in all its stages, recognizing it as a gift from God.
— Let us pray to the Lord.
For Ariëns KSE.
We pray in thanksgiving for the people we meet through Ariëns. We ask the Lord to help us grow as a group where Catholic students feel at home. Fill our hearts with charity and understanding, and guide us to grow in love and unity. Help us in our efforts to spread the joy of the Gospel.
— Let us pray to the Lord.
For Fr. Jurgen (Hengelo), Fr. Jan (Enschede), Fr. Mauricio (Deventer)
We pray for their health and well being, that they may recover well. Our prayers are also with the other priests working in our archdiocese. May the Holy Spirit give them the joy and strength to fulfill their ministry.
— Let us pray to the Lord.
For peace in all places of conflict.
We pray for peace in the world, especially in Ukraine, the Middle-East, and the parts of Africa torn by violence. We also pray for peace and charity with the people we encounter in our every day life. Lord Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like unto yours.
— Let us pray to the Lord.
My + soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, †
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior *
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed: †
the Almighty has done great things for me, *
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him *
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm, *
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones, *
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things, *
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel *
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers, *
to Abraham and his children for ever.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, *
and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, *
and will be for ever. Amen.
St Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
