That everyone might have food.
Let us pray that everyone, from large producers to small consumers, be committed to avoid wasting food, and to ensure that everyone has access to quality food.
— Let us pray to the Lord.
For responsible decision making at the service of life and peace.
[Last Sunday marked] World Press Freedom Day, promoted by UNESCO. Unfortunately, this right is often violated — sometimes blatantly, sometimes in more subtle ways. Let us remember the many journalists and reporters who have fallen victim to wars and violence..
— Let us pray to the Lord.
For Ariëns KSE.
We pray in thanksgiving for the people we meet through Ariëns. May we continue in our enthusiasm to grow as a group where Catholic students feel at home. Fill our hearts with charity and understanding, and guide us to grow in love and unity. Help us in our efforts to spread the joy of the Gospel.
— Let us pray to the Lord.
For peace in all places of conflict.
We pray for peace in the world, especially in Ukraine, the Middle-East, and the parts of Africa torn by violence. We also pray for peace and charity with the people we encounter in our every day life. Lord Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like unto yours.
— Let us pray to the Lord.
My + soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord, †
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior *
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed: †
the Almighty has done great things for me, *
and holy is his Name.
He has mercy on those who fear him *
in every generation.
He has shown the strength of his arm, *
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones, *
and has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things, *
and the rich he has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of his servant Israel *
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers, *
to Abraham and his children for ever.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, *
and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, *
and will be for ever. Amen.
St Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
