Riverside City Teachers Association
In the wake of the recent unjust deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor, RCTA recognizes it is our responsibility as educators to confront racism and injustice wherever it exists in our society. We know that we can, and must do better!
As we move forward we commit to using our position as educators to acknowledge that racism exists among us. Conversations need to occur within our classrooms, our school communities, our homes and among our colleagues. Within our association we need to provide opportunities and resources regarding equity and social justice as we move towards cultural proficiency.
RCTA’s Executive Board will work to ensure that the human dignity and civil rights of all are protected, as we continue to work towards a more just, equitable, and democratic society.
