You can call anytime. If I'm not in, leave a message. I retired in June 2013 after 41 years teaching and coaching at the local high school, but if the weather is nice I'm probably working outside along the river or in the yard. I do my best to return calls each evening or sooner. It's always good to leave an evening phone number even if you call from work during the day. I'll be glad to help you any way I can, even if our place is not what fits your needs.
We prefer to take reservations by phone. We only have 6 overnight sites, so we book up quickly and often far in advance. (If you can stay during the week, it's more likely sites will be open.) I check phone messages each time I come in and I try to check my e-mail every day or so. Weekends often fill up far in advance. During the week better.
If you are on your way here without reservations and can't reach us, you can try calling Kite's Store (540) 652-8174 . I usually put the reservation sheet down there for the week we are in. The store usually closes around 6p.m. and 3p.m. on Sundays.
We do not require a deposit, but please call if you must cancel. I may also call you to confirm, close to the date you are to arrive.

WE ARE 6 MILES NORTH OF SHENANDOAH, VA., AND 6 MILES SOUTH OF STANLEY, VA. WE ARE 1 MI. NORTH OF PAGE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL. (WE ARE NOT LOCATED ON 340 BUSINESS ROUTE) Don't blink. You may miss us!
WE ARE APPROXIMATELY 2 HRS. FROM D.C. AND 2 HRS. FROM RICHMOND.
If there is a problem and I am not here, David may be on site 32 or Steve may be across the road from the South end of the campground at his house. You can also let them know at the store. You can always call 911 if an emergency warrants that action!
