Texas

The Lord never ceases to amaze us with His perfect timing and all the many ways He chooses to use His children.  We are so grateful for all the times He "highlights" cities, churches, campgrounds, and even people that are in need of a touch from the Lord.  Everything we do is for the glory of the Lord and to help further His Kingdom.

The Lord "highlighted" this amazing couple's church to us as soon as we arrived in Texas.  What an extraordinary couple they are.  Through much discouragement in doing life in ministry, our dear friends needed the Lord to send two Ohioans to remind them of what the Lord had said to them years earlier.  Don't we all need a reminder sometimes to keep moving forward in the things of God?  What the Lord did not only  encouraged the pastors, but the entire congregation.  God is still doing a mighty work among this church family.

While we were attending another local church that was holding a worship service one evening, the Lord showed Vic a vision.  In this vision, we were standing in waist-deep water and row boats were coming up to us.  These boats had one, two, or three people in each boat.  As they came to us, we would help each person out of their boat and into the water.  While we continued to do this, the ones we had helped out of the boat they were in then started helping others out of their boats.  As Vic turned, he saw the Lord standing in deeper water motioning for us to go deeper with Him.

So many times we think it has to be the masses for us to truly make a difference.  Not so!  It matters to that one.  Never underestimate the difference of saving that "one!"
