RoboCats 2024-2025 Robot

The River Falls High School RoboCats, Team 9149, showcased their engineering skills at the Seven Rivers Regional FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), held from March 19 to March 22, 2025, at the La Crosse Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

The Seven Rivers Regional brought together 51 teams from across the region, fostering a spirit of innovation and collaboration. The competition began on Wednesday, March 19, with teams loading in and setting up their pits. On Thursday, March 20, teams participated in practice matches to fine-tune their robots. Qualification matches took place on Friday, March 21, leading up to the playoffs and awards ceremony on Saturday, March 22.

This year’s FRC game, REEFSCAPE℠, presented by Haas, challenged teams to engineer robots capable of navigating and sustaining ocean ecosystems, reflecting the season’s underwater exploration theme.

The RoboCats, established in 2023, continued their rapid growth by taking on complex robotics challenges while demonstrating teamwork and STEM innovation.

The FIRST Robotics Competition combined the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology. High school teams designed, built, and programmed industrial-sized robots to compete in head-to-head challenges, all while developing valuable life skills and contributing to their communities.
