RF Community Education Offers BattleBots

August 2024 - Parents and young tech enthusiasts, get ready for an action-packed day of creativity and competition! Students entering grades 2 through 6 have the chance to dive into the world of robotics with Extreme Robotics: Battlebots, a hands-on camp designed to thrill and challenge budding engineers and programmers.

This one-day camp will use the versatile LEGO® building system combined with Mindstorms EV3, a highly sophisticated LEGO® microcomputer brick. Students will team up to build imaginative robot models, experiment with programming, and put their creations to the test in various robotic challenges. It’s a perfect blend of fun, creativity, and competition that’s sure to engage students of all skill levels.

• Age Requirement: For students entering grades 2-6

• Session Length: 5 hours (9:00 AM - 2:00 PM)

• Class Size: Limited to 24 participants 

• What to Bring: Students should bring a lunch and a drink
