I was responsible for both the design and programming of an idle clicker game in which players could upgrade units to increase their credit earnings.
By using a sketchbook, I designed the main screen overlay and how the UI would be laid out. Then I broke down how purchases would be made and how the upgrades would be scaled by using a simple scaling mathematical formula. By creating an endless scaling system and keeping the currency abbreviated, the player would have an endless supply of fun spending their credits to purchase more equipment and mercenaries.

An adorable block stacking game that I designed and scripted in Unity. By using a single page on my sketchbook, I created the main idea of this hyper-casual game:
Worked on the level design, which consisted of an endless background and starting platform.
Art direction to make sure the art followed the same adorable aesthetic.
C# programming to work on the prototype and the overall gameplay before sending to polish.
Within the realm of tabletop RPGs, such as Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder 2e, I've actively engaged in the intricate process of game design. These endeavors encompassed a diverse array of projects, each thoughtfully crafted and licensed under the Open Game License (OGL).
My journey as a game designer involved several critical stages, including:
Conceptualization: At the outset, I delved into the intricacies of world-building, storytelling, and mechanics. This involved brainstorming sessions, research, and idea generation to create unique and engaging gameplay experiences.
Mechanics and Balancing: I meticulously fine-tuned game mechanics, ensuring a harmonious blend of player interaction, challenges, and strategic choices. Balance between character abilities, environmental factors, and in-game resources played a pivotal role.
Playtesting: Rigorous playtesting sessions allowed me to refine and validate the game's rules and mechanics. This phase involved working with dedicated playtesters who provided valuable feedback and helped me identify areas for improvement.
Art and Aesthetics: Collaboration with artists and illustrators was essential to bring the game world to life. Choosing the right art style and imagery added depth to the storytelling, making the game visually captivating.
Narrative Design: Crafting compelling narratives and story arcs was integral to immersing players in the game's universe. This encompassed creating intricate plotlines, memorable characters, and world lore that would resonate with players.
Rulebook and Documentation: I meticulously documented the rules, abilities, and lore in rulebooks and guides, ensuring clarity for both players and game masters. This step was crucial to facilitate smooth gameplay and reference.
Digital Tools and Resources: I also developed digital resources, such as maps and pre-made character sheets, to enhance the overall gameplay experience. These tools streamlined character management and made the game more accessible to a broader audience.
Community Engagement: Interacting with the player community, gathering feedback, and addressing concerns were ongoing processes. This allowed for continuous improvement and fostering a sense of community around the games.
These projects demanded a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and a deep appreciation for the tabletop RPG culture. Feel free to click on the cover artwork to delve deeper into these meticulously crafted tabletop adventures.
Congratulations! You've chosen a career path with no retirement plan, no dental, and a life expectancy shorter than a -- you get it.
The stars are full of treasure… and someone's got to steal it. (Spoiler: It's you. It's always you.)
In Star Raiders, you're not a hero — you're a reformed entrepreneur with flexible ethics and a ship held together by duct tape, a vidbox, and some kind of protein paste that you swore to everyone you got rid of. Build your crew of lovable degenerates, upgrade your ship, and raid everything from corporate freight haulers to alien dreadnoughts in a galaxy where "finder's keepers" is actual law.
Every raid is a gamble. Every choice adds credits to your wanted poster. Every crewmate will absolutely steal your stuff if you die first. No honor among thieves (or rock, paper, scissors).
Manage your skyrocketing infamy, patch your ship with stolen parts, and outrun the endless parade of rival captains, bounty hunters, and really judgmental space cops who seem personally offended by your lifestyle choices. Will you build a legendary fleet, retire rich on a beach planet, or become a beautiful fireball that briefly improves local visibility?
Welcome, y’all, to the wild, rusty edges of the galaxy, where there’s two things in abundance: scrap metal and bad decisions! In Junk Kings, you play a savvy (or desperate) solo salvager just tryin' to make a livin’ among the stars, pickin' through derelict ships and tryin' not to get blasted by space pirates, melted by radiation, or worse... ripped off by space traders with "good deals."
Armed with a six-sided die, a deck of cards, and that pencil you found under the seat last week, you’ll scavenge for parts, haggle like a pro, and slap together whatever half-busted tech you can find. Got yourself a rusty plasma coil? With a little love (and a whole lotta duct tape), you can turn it into somethin’ shiny and valuable. Just watch out for them space gremlins. (Seriously. They got teeth. Big ones.)
Venture into a fantasy world as a Monster Chef! In this rules-light solo RPG, you'll hunt down strange and dangerous creatures, harvest their unique ingredients, and transform them into bizarrely delicious street food from your trusty Food Cart.
