I am excited about being your child's first grade teacher! This is my 23rd year teaching here at Rio Seco with a total of 25 years in the teaching profession. I have taught 2nd and 4th grade in the past.
I live in Santee with my husband and two wonderful children. My daughter is a fourth grade teacher here at Rio Seco. My son graduated at SDSU as a mechanical engineer. I have two dogs, Odin and Maci-Moo that are absolutely spoiled. They keep us laughing and spread a lot of joy in our home. Some things my family loves to do together are bike riding, swimming, barbecuing, and vacationing. In my spare time, I love to cook, read a good book, and hang out with my family and friends.
I believe children learn best in an environment where they feel supported, confident, secure and valued. A goal that I have for everyone is to get along and treat each other with kindness. Our class mottos are "Never Settle for Less Than Your Best" and "Dream Big." Each day I will do my best to create a successful and positive learning experience for your child.
I am very excited about this school year! Just like in other years, you will see your child grow leaps and bounds. I am thrilled to be a part of that process. I feel positive that this will be another great school year.
