Hello! I'm Mrs. Galarneau.
I am excited to be your child's teacher! I have been teaching for 28 years. One of my teaching philosophies is that children learn best in an environment where they feel supported, confident, and secure. Each day, I will strive to create a successful and positive experience for your child. I believe in challenging my students to think critically and become problem solvers. In the classroom, our differences and unique qualities are celebrated and we respect everyone. One of our class mottos is "Believe in yourself and dream big!" I will do my best to make sure your child reaches their full potential.
I live in Santee with my husband Kirk, and our son Brandon. My husband works for the City of San Diego as a Hazardous Materials Supervisor. Brandon is a software engineer working for SAIC . Our daughter, Katie, was married 2 years ago and is a 6th grade teacher at Rio. She and her husband were blessed with their first child (my first grand-baby!) in April of this year.
We are proud to have called Santee our home for many years. Our family enjoys being outdoors together hiking, biking, or just hanging out at the beach. In my spare time, I love cooking, a quiet morning in my backyard with a cup of coffee, and a good book. We also share our home with our crazy, but oh so loved, Catahoula Leopard mix Murphy Flynn. We also have a five pound Yorkshire terrier named Ellie who thinks she is a Rottweiler. She has stolen our hearts too!
I am looking forward to a wonderful year with your child!
