Hello and a warm welcome to you. I guess that you are coming here looking for someone safe and supportive to talk to. You may be going through a hard time emotionally due to grief, loss or trauma. You may be grappling with an emotional problem for many years. Or you may be feeling stressed, anxious and generally overwhelmed. Whatever your reasons, I would first like to commend you for your courage. It’s not always easy to ask for help.
At times it can be difficult to talk to those you are close to about the problems you are having and it may help to talk to an impartial, professional counsellor. As a psychotherapist I understand how important it is for you to feel comfortable enough to talk through your difficulties with the right person. I am a Person-Centred psychotherapist and supervisor working with adults, couples, young people and children.
Whatever experiences, vulnerability or anxiety brings you to counselling, I believe that you have the potential for self-healing and growth. I will provide the therapeutic conditions that will enable you to bring about the changes you desire in your own life.
My aim is to create a safe and supportive counselling environment. This is the foundation that will allow us to explore your concerns and develop a deeper understanding of your emotions and thoughts. I support adults, young people and children who experience challenges including those related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, loss, grief, trauma and abuse, relationship issues, life transitions and work/life balance. Through providing warm and empathic support I aim to create a space that feels accepting, empowering and has lots of room for exploration.
I believe talking therapy can really work to effect a positive and lasting change in the life of each individual, guided by what your unique goals are for counselling. I also believe that therapy should be not only safe and supportive, but also professional and accessible.

I completed a professionally demanding and academically rigorous training from two renowned psychotherapy training institutions in the UK: Metanoia Institute (London) and Northern Guild (Newcastle-upon-Tyne).
