SUPERVISED AGRICULTURAL EXPERIENCE

An SAE is a required component of a total agricultural education program and intended for every student. Through their involvement in the SAE program, students are able to consider multiple careers and occupations, learn expected workplace behavior, develop specific skills within an industry, and are given opportunities to apply academic and occupational skills in the workplace or a simulated workplace environment. Through these strategies, students learn how to apply what they are learning in the classroom as they prepare to transition into the world of college and career opportunities. Also an SAE is part of a students agriculture class grade.

We need your help!

Fill your freezers and support our students! They have been working tirelessly for months and have invested hundreds of dollars to produce a quality meat product for the Sacramento County Fair. As agriculture is essential work, they have dedicated themselves to follow through with their commitment even in the midst of Covid-19. Please show them your support by purchasing an animal at the online sale SCF is hosting. Animals will be auctioned off by specie, lambs and goats will be May 22nd and swine, turkeys, rabbits and eggs will be May 23rd. If you would like to register as a buyer please visit sacfair.com. Thank you in advance!
