How to delete the registered address from the Address Book of the device

How do I delete the registered address from the Address Book of the device?

Follow these steps to delete the registered address.

Note

You can register and manage the following items in the Address Book:

[Names]

You can register the name of the user and the key display.

This is the basic information required for managing users of the machine.

To register a fax number or e-mail address in the Address Book, you must register information such as the user name and destination name in advance.

[Auth. Info]

You can register user codes to restrict particular functions to certain users, and to monitor users' usage of each function.

Also, you can specify SMTP authentication, folder authentication, and LDAP authentication.

[Protection]

You can specify the object of use, the protection code, and the object of protection to prevent sender impersonation (spoofing) and unauthorized user access to shared folders.

[FAX Dest.]

You can register FAX numbers, types of the line port, the fax header and so on, and specify ON/OFF of label insertion.

Also, you can register IP-FAX destination and select the protocol.

[Email]

You can register e-mail addresses of users and destinations.

[Folder]

You can specify protocols, server names, and folder levels.

[Add to Group]

You can register destinations of FAX, e-mail and folder to a group.

1. Press [Address Book Management]. 

2. Press [Delete]. 

3. Select the name to delete, or enter registration no. with the num pad.

[Test Group] is selected as an example here.

4. Press [Delete] under the confirmation message screen. 

5. If there are multiple group to be registered, repeat the procedure 3-4.

Press [Exit] to complete the deletion.
