The Traffic Safety Improvement projects will design and build improvements at six intersections across the city’s neighborhoods. Building on the direction provided by the Richmond Bicycle and Pedestrian Action Plan and the Local Road Safety Plan, these intersections were prioritized based on community input, crash history, and pedestrian and bicycle safety concerns.
The consultant team will be meeting with affected Neighborhood Councils in Fall 2025 to introduce the project, share proposed improvements and gather feedback. This feedback will inform further development of the improvements, which will be shared in early 2026.
