Being humble and full of faith the family knelt down in family prayer and asked the Heavenly Father to care for them and to provide them with bread. While they were still kneeling a knock came at the door and a man asked Grandpa Thompson if he would come and fix his chimney and he would pay him for his work in corn and he had no money."
After the construction of the Richmond Fort in 1860 and other forts in Cache Valley, the Territory of Utah created the Cache Military District on Oct 15, 1861 with Church Apostle Ezra T.
