Kimball Co. of 1848 on June 7 and arrived in the Salt Lake Valley on Sep 24. After some time in the Salt Lake Valley where George worked, Martha would have to leave as George died on Feb 17, 1850. She moved with her sister Margaret in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah.
In March of 1851, Martha married John McCormick Wiser in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah. Soon after, they moved to Alpine, Utah. They lived in Alpine until 1860 when they moved to Richmond.
