Andrew Bickmore Allen was born December 23, 1859, to Alijah and Eliza Ann Bickmore Allen in Herriman, Utah. Andrew is a pioneer of Richmond.
When Andwer was five, his father died, and the Allen family moved to Richmond. Because of the lack of money and provisions in his youth, Andrew went through many trials to survive and work so that the family could thrive in the harsh winters and summers of Utah. Andrew was able to attend school in his youth. In the fall of 1877, he assisted in the construction of the Logan Temple by cutting logs in the Logan Canyon.
Andrew married Susanna Elizabeth Preece Jan 6, 1881, in Salt Lake City. They had 8 children, and built a farm in Cove. Andrew is the mother of Ivan S. Allen, who served as the sixth Bishop of the Cove Ward.
Andrew Bickmore Allen died April 14, 1941 in Cove. He was buried in the Richmond Cemetery.
