Emma Boston Gibbs was born Aug 14, 1851 in St. Mary, Wales to George Duggan and Ellen Phillips Gibbs. Emma is a Pioneer of Richmond. Emma is the mother of Herschel Bullen Jr.
Emma was six years old when her family immigrated from Wales to the US, settling in Paradise, Utah. She married Herschel Bullen on Feb 8, 1870 in Salt Lake City having two children, Herschel Bullen Jr. and Nellie Bullen.
"The old time residents of Richmond who knew Emma Boston Gibbs Bullen described her as a happy and beautiful girl. She was the price of the family. She was kind, tender, and charming as well as intelligent. She loved everyone and her musical voice and captivating smile made everyone love her. Hershel Bullen felt lucky and he was, as he drove her to Salt Lake City to get married."1
Emma Boston Gibbs died in an unknown location on October 1, 1873. She was buried in the Richmond Cemetery.
