Hölger Boder Frederick Olsen was born Feb 21, 1877 in Sokkelund, Denmark to Frederick and Kristine Velhelmine Hansen Olsen. Hölger served as the 18th Mayor of Richmond.
Hölger Boder F. Olsen served as the 18th Mayor of Richmond from 1928-1934. Hölger is the most recent Mayor to have been born outside of the United States.
He was succeeded by George O. Webb.
In Feb 1929, the Richmond Chamber of Commerce was reorganized into a Lions Club. Under the sponsorship of the Hyrum, Utah Lions Club, the Richmond Lions were organized with J. Morris Godfrey Jr., President; Jessie Webb, VP; Alvin M. Bair, Second VP; Secretary and Treasurer, J. S. Forrester; Lion Tamer, C. S. Hall; Tail Twister, Henry T. Plant Jr.; and Directors James W. Funk, Lyman Hall, Hölger B. F. Olsen, and Charles I. Stoddard.1
Hölger Boder Frederick Olsen died Nov 26, 1945 in Mesa, Arizona on Thanksgiving Day when a bus ran a red light and hit Hölger. He was buried in the Richmond Cemetery.
