Researchers, educators, artists, and practitioners are invited to submit proposals that align with the thematic orientation of RIAM 2026.
Types of submissions
Spoken paper (theoretical): 15 minutes.
Research papers (empirical, methodological, action research, and reflective practitioner studies): 15 minutes.
Poster: Both printed and digital posters are welcome.
Panel: We recommend including four to six panel members representing both researchers and practitioners. Session length: 90 minutes.
Workshops and collaborative sessions: Session length: 90 minutes.
Language: Presentations will be delivered in English; Greek submissions may be accommodated in specific sessions.
Please note that your abstract and bio(s) will be proofread by a native English speaker and may be gently edited for language before publication on the symposium website. This service is included in the participant fee.
Author information—Abstract content: Each abstract should clearly indicate:
the context (educational level, setting, community, institution), the theoretical or conceptual framework (e.g., pedagogy of care, arts-based education, inclusion, social impact), the methodology or reflective approach, and the relevance of the proposal to the social value of music and arts education.
Practice-based submissions are expected to demonstrate reflective depth and conceptual grounding, even when not framed as conventional academic research.

All submissions will undergo rigorous academic quality checks, thematic relevance checks, and checks for coherence with the aims of RIAM 2026.
