Q: How does RhythMic work?
RhythMic uses your iPhone's microphone to listen to ambient sound and translates it into real-time full-screen visual effects. You can also use the app without a microphone for auto-animated visuals.
Q: Does the app record my audio?
No. All audio is analyzed in real time on your device and is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere.
Q: Why does the app need microphone permission?
The microphone is used to detect beats and audio frequencies so the visuals can react to surrounding music. You can deny permission and still use the "without mic" mode.
Q: Is the premium purchase a subscription?
No. RhythMic Premium is a one-time, lifetime purchase. You pay once and get all premium features, including future updates.
Q: How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Open the purchase screen and tap "Restore Purchases" in the top-right corner. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.
Q: How do I sync multiple phones?
One phone taps "Host" and others tap "Join." All devices must be on the same local Wi-Fi network or within Bluetooth range. The host's visuals are synced to all connected phones.
Q: Why can't my devices connect?
Make sure all devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, Bluetooth is enabled, and Local Network permission is granted to RhythMic in Settings. Restart the sync session if connection fails.
Q: How do I use RhythMic on my Apple Watch?
Make sure the RhythMic watch app is installed on your paired Apple Watch. Start a party session on your iPhone and the watch will automatically sync and display matching visuals.
Q: The visuals aren't reacting to sound.
Check that microphone permission is granted in Settings > RhythMic > Microphone. Also make sure your device is not in Silent Mode, and try increasing the sensitivity in Settings.
Q: The app is using a lot of battery.
RhythMic sets screen brightness to maximum during party sessions for the best visual experience. This is normal. The flashlight strobe feature also uses extra battery — it will automatically shut off after a safety period.
