I am a postdoctoral researcher working in fish ecology/fisheries.
My career as a biologist began in high school, where I did some work on the conservation ecology of fish and amphibians. Driven by my love for salmonids, I attended Hokkaido University, where I pursued my passion for these fish. I remained there from my bachelor's through to my Ph.D., conducting life history research on masu salmon.Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries, studying the impacts of recreational fishing on fish behavior.
I am passionate about realistic research that allows me to truly experience how aquatic organisms live and move.
