The Game of Love and Death cover

The Game of Love and Death
by Martha Brockenbrough

It's interesting how they chose the players, and how at first they're together but sometimes apart. This book takes place during the time of Jim Crow laws, so even though she does like him, she doesn't want to get in trouble. The story is very inspirational and shows how she still likes him. This book is in the love and mystery genres, and it keeps the reader interested.

Sick Kids in Love cover

Sick Kids in Love
by Hannah Moskowitz

This is a story about how characters meet unexpectedly and fall in love while they're in the hospital. At first, she doesn't want to to date because they have complicated relationships in their families. The boy is very reasonable, and I like how when they have an argument, he always listens to her. They have discussions and listen to each other. This story is very inspirational and helps the reader understand how hard it is for other people.
