Ah, the smell of homemade cookies. It brings back childhood memories of Christmas filled with handmade ornaments and fresh baked cookies. Remember making the dough, rolling it out, cutting shapes, baking, and decorating cookies as a child? Cookies take time to make and they can get messy, but there is something satisfying about completing the process. In today’s world, Christmas cookies can be a peace offering that crosses man-made boundaries and a message of hope that brings us joy in the midst of grief. “Homemade Christmas” welcomes us home to Christ as we actively await his arrival.

"Bridges of Love"
is a 6-week worship series and church study inspired by the song “Love Can Build a Bridge” by Paul Overstreet, Naomi Ellen Judd, John Barlow Jarvis.
“Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.”
1 John 3:18
St. Augustine understood the core of scripture and faith in three words: God is love. Yet, today’s world is filled with hatred, violence, and discord. If God is love and we are created in the image of God, then we are called to be love in this broken world. Love is more than a word. It is a way of being and living. Love is action. This study and worship series is designed to engage your congregation in conversation about God’s love, what it means to love each other, why we are called to love our enemies, and what it looks like to be the love of God in the world. We will worship, study and act in love for six weeks. Then we will ask, what next? How do we love everyday? How do we change the world with God’s love? How do we build a bridge of love?
