Sweeter than a strawberry, Red is an upbeat, cheer-y individual with a big dream: hosting a reality show! And in spite of the bumps in the road, she’s finally gotten that chance. What could possibly go wrong now?
Red has a hidden dark side, one that she outwardly expresses whenever she’s intensely displeased by something. At most, it’s a small scare, maybe a transformation or two. But it ultimately stems from her fear of things spinning out of control. How much longer before she loses ALL the pieces?
While not as upbeat as his sister or chill as his brother, Black is a caring and resoureful individual who primarily provides support to his better thirds. While he tends to be cynical and sarcastic, his actions usually come from a genuine sense of concern regarding the circumstances and individuals around him.
Black Button has given a fair amount to aid Red Button and help manage the competition, but a co-host role that once started as a genuine desire to aid and look out for his sister became far more emotionally taxing. With White restored and the future of the game unclear, what will Black do in response?
White is the youngest of the three and as such has a tendency to look at things in a more naive, hopeful way. While not as creatively skilled as the others, he does have the strongest power signature of them all, able to utilize his abilities with relative ease. He’s very supportive to those who need help, a shoulder to lean on in any troubling times.
White has been slightly traumatized by his encounter with dark magic, the situation that separated the buttons and temporarily caused White’s spirit to be lost. Now restored to normal, White aspires to fix his wrongdoings and aid the formation in addressing the final remnants of dark Other Realm energy.
The first of the interns, Card is a quiet and reserved individual who mostly keeps to himself and the hosts that are his current bosses. His only real interactions with the contestants have involved him getting hurt in one way or another. Underneath his reluctant exterior is a sense of humor screaming to break out into the limelight (he had once written his own cryptic character bio to viewer confusion) and an unprecedented level of fighting skills. When placed in a position of authority, he tends to emulate Black Button’s behavior.
Not much is known about Hook, the owner and driver of the Peppermint Ferry, AKA Restarting Systems’ personal yacht. Those who have come to contact with him directly have spoken of his various stories as a pirate, sailing the seven seas for treasure. Now he takes a part time job as the driver for a ship that isn't even used 50% of the time. Ah, such is life.
While preparing experimentational procedures for resurrecting White Button, the Button Formation accidentally created the Flour Monster. Following neutralization, his DNA was stabilized to become a regular animated Flour bag, one who decided to set off on his own to see the world. He hopes to return to Lucky Island sometime soon….
Battery is the team’s Forensics Executive. While he’s quite crafty and researched in his own right, his primary directive is to keep track of various energy signals and serve as secondary authority on all team matters. Battery’s tongue is sharp and to the point, his intellect impressive and his prose in tune. He’s able to come to realizations and resolutions at the snap of a twig and can usually keep up that wit with an impressive skill set.
Ready and armed, Chocolate Spread is a well-meaning warrior with skills in marksmanship and the dark arts. While far from being on par with the most skilled magic users, his powers compliment his capability to be agile and swift in battle, and he proves to be the ideal person to have by your side in a bind. Personality wise, Spread gets along fairly well with the people he trusts, if not a little flustered when confronted with larger social dynamics. He’s very protective of his younger brother Brownie, even if he doesn’t admit it half of the time.
Excited, active, and flexible, Milk Cap is a fighter with many talents, and those talents landed her as a member of Red Button’s team. She gets bored easily and likes to rock the boat, usually engaging in whatever intense activity she can muster. If she hides her emotions, she doesn’t realize it at first, but when she does she makes an active effort to stop as she feels that expression is one of the most important things somebody can do.
Portable is the stern and focused leader of the team, the head scientist who directs nearly every action the Formation takes. His grasp of control is fairly loose as he’s not the best at controlling his own emotions, and he also stands as somebody surrounded by individuals with their own visions and aspirations that tend to conflict with the end goal of the team. Portable’s intent of control can also occasionally lead to him accidentally isolating himself from the team, despite meaning well at the end of the day.
Smoke’s naivety and ambition tends to get the Formation into trouble, but that doesn’t stop him from being useful in his own right. With an impressive intellect and a drive to do the right thing, Smoke has proven himself as the heart of the team, the hand that keeps them all together…in spite of his many, many mistakes.
Recently, Smoke returned from an adventure to a world beyond their own, and with a mysterious golden scroll in hand. Just what exactly happened in the Other Realm, and what does that mean for the future of Lucky Island?
