Ricochet is a futuristic dystopia set in a reality where attunement with the natural world results in innate abilities- and where the government, called Jupiter, seeks to control the use of these abilities to remain in power. The story follows a secret service agent named Gabriel Elordi as he scrambles to solve a series of murders that leads him back to a supernatural event from 15 years ago.
In Chicago 2006, Rook Vargas is an ambitious teen working a dead-end job at a bistro in the Loop. Having grown up effectively invisible, Rook has nothing to lose and everything to gain when he crosses paths with the renowned financier, William Romanesco, and is offered the opportunity of a lifetime to intern at his firm.
But beneath its glimmering exterior, William's world is built on decades of backroom deals and a darker past. While facing double entendres and the mysterious boy who haunts the 13th floor, Rook must decide if the price of getting everything he ever wanted is worth the person he is.
