Be respectful when writing to tribal representatives. We created an example you can use to contact tribal representatives for more information on a topic or to do an oral history interview.

After you’ve contacted and spoken with a tribal representative, either for resources or to do an oral interview, please write a handwritten thank-you note. Also, if the tribal representative expressed interest in seeing your final project, we recommend you share your project with them before the History Day contest and after it is over.
