Adrenal Crisis is a life-threatening endocrine emergency requiring rapid recognition and treatment. Despite clear emergency management principles, we still know too little about how adrenal crisis is recognised, managed, and followed up across NHS hospitals.
Adrenal Crisis-RESCUE aims to adress this gap by combining audit and feedback model, lived experience research, and simulation-based education to support safer and more consistent adrenal crisis care.
Work Package 1: Audit and Feedback Model
Mapping adrenal crisis events across the UK to understand incidence, patterns of care, and outcomes in real-world clinical settings.
Work Package 2: Lived Experience Study
Capturing patients', carers', and healthcare professionals' perspectives to ensure the research reflects the realities of adrenal crisis care.
Work Package 3: Simulation and Education
Delivering simulation sessions and creating educational videos to support safer, more consistent adrenal crisis care.
We are inviting healthcare professionals and hospitals across the UK to support our audit and feedback model and help shape improvements in adrenal crisis care.
