Come Foster with Us!
Our rescue is really small, so we are always in need of volunteers and people to help foster cats and kittens. Fostering is rewarding because you are saving lives that would otherwise be abandoned, or euthanized.
We are only able to intake senior cats, pregnant mama cats, abandoned young male cats and tiny, helpless kittens because of the amazing generosity of people who open up their homes and hearts to foster these animals.
If you are interested in fostering, please go to the Forms section and fill out the fostering form. Our rescue is committed to helping the foster process and ensuring that foster parents are placed with the appropriate cats/kittens that are most suited to their experience level.
What the rescue will do in the foster/rescue partnership
Our rescue is ready to assist the fostering process by sharing resources such as food, litter, deworming medications, OTC medication and other supplies.
When your kittens/cats are ready for surgery and vaccinations, we will schedule their appointments for you.
We will advertise the fostered animals for adoptions and serve as intermediate to put you in contact with potential adopters for Meet and Greet sessions with your fostered animals.
What the foster parent will do in the foster/rescue partnership
The foster parents will provide a safe, clean environment for the cats/kittens to reside in. If necessary, the foster parents will provide a separate area for quarantining purposes (nursing mama cats and kittens, sick cats/kittens, animals needing temporary acclimatization period).
The foster parents will provide the approved food and clean water during the fostering period.
The foster parents will conduct Meet and Greet sessions with potential adopters at a mutually convenient time in their homes or at the adopter's homes.
The foster parents will bring the animals to the clinic on the scheduled day of surgery and pick up the animals after surgery (if there is conflict in the schedule, please let us know so we can arrange alternate pick up options).
The foster parents will send the rescue updates and pictures of the animals and allow for regular visits from rescue personnel.
