COVID-19 Vaccine for Child Care

Child care providers in Alameda County are eligible and should get their COVID-19 vaccine booster. Children ages 6 months and older are also eligible for COVID-19 vaccines. Below, you will find information about how to find a vaccine appointment and resources to learn more about the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine.

Alameda County Vaccine Locations & Providers


Child Care providers are approved to receive a COVID-19 booster and should get their dose six months after they complete their Pfizer or Moderna vaccination series or two months after their Johnson & Johnson vaccination. Vaccine requirements: There is not currently a COVID-19 vaccine requirement for child care providers receiving state or federal funds or for children in their care, with the exception of Head Start programs.
