Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Rent Resolve AI ("the App," "we," "our," or "us"), you ("User," "you") agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download or use this App.

1. Description of Service

Rent Resolve AI is a mobile application that provides:

• AI-Powered Educational Analysis — General information about tenant and landlord issues based on commonly available legal information

• Community Forum — A platform for users to share experiences and discuss rental matters

• Property & Landlord Ratings — A review system for rental properties and landlords/tenants

• Legal Information Resources — General educational content about tenant and landlord rights

1.1 What This App Is

1.2 What This App Is NOT

❌ NOT a replacement for consulting a licensed attorney

2. Eligibility Requirements

To use Rent Resolve AI, you must meet ALL of the following requirements:

• ✅ Be at least 18 years of age

• ✅ Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements

• ✅ Reside in or have a rental matter related to the United States

• ✅ Have a valid Apple ID and compatible iOS device

• ✅ Agree to and comply with these Terms in their entirety

• ✅ Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws

If you do not meet these requirements, you are not authorized to use this App.

3. Account Registration & Security

3.1 Creating Your Account

When registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information

• Keep your account information up to date

• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials

• Be fully responsible for all activity under your account

• Not share your account with any other person

3.2 Account Security

• Notify us immediately at info.zashq@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

• We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to maintain account security

• We reserve the right to disable accounts that violate these Terms

4. Subscription Terms

4.1 Free Trial

• New users receive a 7-day free trial of Premium features

• Free trial is available to new users only

• One trial per Apple ID and per device

• Trial automatically converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial period ends

• Cancel anytime during the trial to avoid charges

• We use device identifiers to prevent free trial abuse

4.2 Subscription Plans

Prices are in USD and subject to applicable taxes.

4.3 Billing & Payment

• All payments are processed entirely by Apple App Store

• Charges are applied to your Apple ID account

• We never receive or store your payment card information

• Subscription automatically renews unless cancelled

• Auto-renewal can be turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period

• Manage your subscription in: iPhone Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions

4.4 Cancellation Policy

• Cancel anytime through App Store settings

• Upon cancellation, you retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period

• No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period

• After cancellation, your account reverts to Free tier

4.5 Refund Policy

• All refund requests must be directed to Apple App Store

• We do not process refunds directly — Apple manages all billing

• For refund requests: reportaproblem.apple.com

• Apple's refund policies apply to all purchases

4.6 Price Changes

• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing

• You will be notified of price changes at least 30 days in advance

• Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price

5. Acceptable Use Policy

5.1 You Agree You WILL:

• Use the App only for its intended, lawful purposes

• Provide accurate and truthful information

• Respect other users and their experiences

• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

• Use respectful, professional language in community posts

5.2 You Agree You WILL NOT:

• ❌ Violate any local, state, federal, or international laws

• ❌ Post false, misleading, or defamatory content about any person or property

• ❌ Impersonate any person, landlord, tenant, attorney, or company

• ❌ Harass, threaten, bully, or abuse other users

• ❌ Post spam, unsolicited advertisements, or promotional content

• ❌ Share illegal, harmful, hateful, or obscene content

• ❌ Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the App

• ❌ Use the App for unauthorized commercial purposes

• ❌ Create multiple accounts to abuse free trials

• ❌ Share copyrighted material without proper authorization

• ❌ Post hate speech, discriminatory content, or violent material

• ❌ Share another person's private information without consent

• ❌ Use AI-generated reports as actual legal advice in legal proceedings

5.3 Community Content Guidelines

Community posts and ratings must:

• Be based on honest, firsthand experience

• Be respectful and professional in tone

• Not contain personal identifying information of private individuals

• Comply with all sections of these Terms

• Not constitute legal advice to other users

6. User-Generated Content

6.1 Your Ownership

You retain ownership of the content you create and post on Rent Resolve AI.

6.2 License You Grant Us

By posting content to the App, you grant Rent Resolve AI a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to:

• Store, display, and distribute your content within the App

• Use your content to improve our services

• Moderate and review content for policy compliance

This license ends when you delete your content or account.

6.3 Your Responsibility

• You are solely responsible for all content you post

• You confirm you have the right to post any content you share

• You understand that public posts are visible to all App users

• You must not post content that violates these Terms or any laws

6.4 Our Moderation Rights

We reserve the right to:

• Remove any content that violates these Terms

• Suspend or terminate accounts for violations

• Report illegal content to appropriate authorities

• Modify or delete content that creates legal liability

6.5 No Endorsement

• We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of user-generated content

• Community posts and ratings represent individual opinions only

• We are not responsible for content posted by other users

7. AI-Generated Content — Important Limitations

7.1 Nature of AI Responses

The AI legal analysis provided by Rent Resolve AI:

• Is generated based on general, publicly available information

• Is intended for educational purposes only

• May not reflect current laws in your specific jurisdiction

• May not account for recent legal changes

• Should never be used as actual legal advice

7.2 AI Limitations You Must Understand

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

• We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App

• We are not liable for decisions you make based on information in the App

• We are not liable for user-generated content posted by other users

• We are not liable for third-party services (Apple, Google, Firebase)

• We are not liable for service interruptions or technical failures

• Our maximum total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim

Nothing in this section limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or matters that cannot be excluded by applicable law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rent Resolve AI, its developer, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App

• Your violation of these Terms

• Your violation of any law or third-party rights

• Content you post or share in the App

• Any misuse of AI-generated information

11. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy (available in the App and on our support page) is incorporated into these Terms by reference and explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

By using the App, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

12. Third-Party Services

12.1 Apple App Store

• Subscription purchases are governed by Apple's Terms and Conditions

• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms

• Apple is not responsible for the App or its content

• Apple Media Services Terms

12.2 Google Firebase

• Data storage and authentication services

• Subject to Google's Terms of Service

• Google Terms of Service

12.3 Google Sign-In (Optional)

• Subject to Google's Terms of Service

• We only receive basic profile information

We are not responsible for third-party services and their availability or performance.

12.4 AI Service Provider

Use of Artificial Intelligence

Rent Resolve AI uses third-party artificial intelligence (AI) services to generate educational legal information related to tenant and landlord matters within the United States.

Our AI system analyzes user-submitted rental issues and provides general educational insights to help users better understand their situation.

AI Service Providers

We utilize the following AI infrastructure providers:

• OpenRouter (https://openrouter.ai) — API gateway that routes requests to AI models provider

• AI models made available by third-party providers such as Google, Meta, and other AI companies through OpenRouter

These providers process limited information solely for the purpose of generating AI responses.

How AI Is Used

When you use the AI analysis feature:

• Your rental issue description is securely transmitted to our AI service provider

• Your selected issue category, U.S. state, and tenant/landlord role are included

• Follow-up chat messages are processed to provide contextual responses

• The AI generates educational legal information based on the details provided

• AI responses are stored securely within your private user account

• Email address

• Account login credentials

• Physical address

• Phone number

• Payment details

• Device identifiers

Personal account data remains stored securely on our own servers.

AI Limitations & Disclaimer

AI-generated responses:

• Are provided for educational and informational purposes only

• May contain inaccuracies or outdated information

• Do not constitute legal advice

• Do not create an attorney-client relationship

• Cannot replace consultation with a licensed attorney

• We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content

We make no guarantees regarding the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of AI-generated content.

By using the AI analysis features, you acknowledge and consent to your issue descriptions being processed by third-party AI services as described above and in our Privacy Policy.

Our AI service providers are required to provide protection of user data equal to or greater than the protections described in our Privacy Policy.

OpenRouter Terms of Service and the applicable AI model provider's terms apply to AI processing.

User Consent

By using the AI analysis features within Rent Resolve AI, you acknowledge and consent to your submitted issue descriptions being processed by third-party AI services for the purpose of generating responses.

Processing is subject to:

• OpenRouter’s Terms of Service

• The applicable AI model provider’s terms and policies

13. Intellectual Property

13.1 Our Property

The following are owned by Rent Resolve AI and protected by applicable intellectual property laws:

• The "Rent Resolve AI" name and any associated logos

• App design, interface, and visual elements

• Proprietary algorithms and AI systems

• Original written content and resources

13.2 License to You

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Download and use the App on your Apple devices

• Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes

• Access features based on your subscription tier

13.3 Restrictions

You may NOT:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works from the App

• Reverse engineer or decompile the App

• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

• Use our intellectual property for commercial purposes

14. Account Termination

14.1 Termination by You

• Delete your account anytime: Profile → Settings → Delete Account

• Account deletion does not entitle you to a refund

• Cancel your subscription separately through App Store settings

14.2 Termination by Us

We may immediately suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate any provision of these Terms

• Engage in fraudulent or abusive activity

• Harass or harm other users

• Abuse the free trial system

• Fail to pay applicable subscription fees

• Post illegal or harmful content

14.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your access to the App ends immediately

• Your Premium features become unavailable

• Your data will be handled per our Privacy Policy

• Subscription fees are non-refundable (contact Apple for refunds)

• These Terms continue to apply to past use of the App

15. Dispute Resolution

15.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the developer operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15.2 Informal Resolution First

Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at info.zashq@gmail.com to attempt informal resolution. We will work in good faith to resolve the issue within 30 days.

15.3 Binding Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association (AAA) rules, except for:

• Small claims court matters

• Intellectual property disputes

• Emergency injunctive relief

15.4 Class Action Waiver

You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits. All disputes must be resolved on an individual basis.

15.5 Time Limitation

Any claim must be filed within one (1) year of the event giving rise to the claim.

16. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date

• Display a prominent in-app notification

• Send an email notification where applicable

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the App and delete your account.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and all remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Rent Resolve AI regarding the use of this App, superseding all prior agreements or understandings.
