The SEAMEO Education Agenda, or the seven priority areas for SEAMEO to collaborate on to improve quality education in Southeast Asia, was adopted in October 2014 by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education through the SEAMEO Council. One of the top priorities for providing the area with high-quality education is "Revitalizing Teacher Education." The "Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia (SEA-Teacher Project)" is a project that the SEAMEO Secretariat started to carry out its objective.

UNIVERSITAS MULAWARMAN

Universitas Mulawarman is a prestigious public university located in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Indonesia, which has been providing quality education since its establishment on September 27, 1962. Being the oldest higher education institution in East Kalimantan, it has proven its excellence over the years. With a remarkable number of over 35,000 students, Universitas Mulawarman is the top university in Kalimantan, which is a testament to its outstanding reputation and academic standards. Chemistry Study Program

During my visit, I had the privilege to witness and participate in two Chemistry study program sessions. One of the most interesting aspects was comparing the laboratory experiments between Indonesia and the Philippines. I thoroughly observed and analyzed the techniques and practices of both countries. Upon reflection, I would like to highlight some key differences I noticed, particularly regarding the Indonesian laboratory. SMA Negeri 10 Samarinda is a State High School in East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. Similar to high schools in general in Indonesia, the school education period at SMA Negeri 10 Samarinda takes three years of study from Class X to Class XII.
