The SEAMEO Education Agenda, or the seven priority areas for SEAMEO to collaborate on to improve quality education in Southeast Asia, was adopted in October 2014 by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education through the SEAMEO Council. One of the top priorities for providing the area with high-quality education is "Revitalizing Teacher Education." The "Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia (SEA-Teacher Project)" is a project that the SEAMEO Secretariat started to carry out its objective.
