I always introduce my parents to our classroom AUP, but families must have their AUP at home. If students have the same rules and expectations to follow while at home and outside of school, then they will be accustomed to following rules and expectations. Children thrive off of routines and clear expectations. Parents can create their own rules and consequences that their children will be expected to follow. I also, recommended that you have you and your child sign both of your names so that your child is held accountable for breaking the rules. Also, signing the at-home AUP will solidify the agreement between you and your child.
