Discovery Education is a supplemental science, math, reading, writing, and social studies resource students and teachers use throughout our district. It is broken into several components: Techbooks, Streaming Plus, and STEM Connect. Within these components there are several features and resources including lessons, videos, reading passages, interactive lessons, digital field trips, and tutorials.

Techbook

Techbooks are digital textbooks that support social studies, science, and math educators with award-winning digital content. They often include interdisciplinary connections and are designed for diverse student learners and curated by experts. The techbooks:

• Are available in math, science, and social studies.
• Saves teachers time with its comprehensive design that includes model lessons, student activities, assessments, and data dashboards embedded at point-of-use.
• Makes differentiation easier through a blend of text and media, different reading levels and languages, and text-to-speech feature.
• Can be used in any technology setting—in one-to-one and one-to-many classrooms.
• Are updated regularly at no additional cost.

Streaming Plus

Discovery Education Streaming and Streaming Plus is more than just educational videos. Curated by subject matter experts into content collections by grade and topic, resources include interactive activities, reading passages, audio clips, skill builders, and writing prompts that engage students and extend critical thinking. A one-stop-shop for teachers, it includes instructional resources such as lesson starters, training videos, and classroom strategies to help them invigorate every lesson. A catalyst for student explorations, Streaming gives learners a whole world to explore, and urges them to take control of their learning with powerful tools to create and share their discoveries with others.
