Welcome to Reiser Music Studio

My aim is to support fellow teachers—whether you’re a seasoned instrumentalist or a band director less familiar with the guitar—with clear, well-sequenced, and practical materials. Drawing on my experience teaching private lessons since 1989 and working in public schools from 1999 to 2011, I’ve distilled essential skills that help students build coordination, confidence, and musicality.

All Reiser Music Studio products are tied to a larger, intentional, and sequenced curriculum that grows with your students’ abilities. The backbone of this curriculum is the Hal Leonard Guitar Method (Books 1–3 by Will Schmid and Greg Koch), which provides a clear progression of core skills. To strengthen and extend that foundation, I’ve developed supplements—interval studies, chord progressions, scales, rhythm studies, and additional lesson plans—drawn from over 15 years of refining guitar curriculum in both public schools and private studios.

The aim is simple: provide well-designed, easy-to-follow lesson plans that save teachers prep time, build confidence in teaching, and strengthen student engagement. With a clear path forward, students experience steady progress, and both teacher and student can see the bigger picture from the very beginning.
