Developing a Foundation
2014 -- 2018
During my time at Elizabethtown High School, I was actively involved in Friends of Rachel, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), Teacher Aid, Art Club, swimming, and archery. In addition to my extracurricular involvement, I challenged myself academically by completing dual-credit college coursework during my senior year, providing a strong foundation for my future in higher education. These experiences fostered leadership, teamwork, creativity, academic excellence, and a commitment to serving others, and values that continue to guide my personal and professional journey.
Building Academic Success
Spring 2018 -- Spring 2021
While attending Elizabethtown Community & Technical College, I earned an Associate of Arts degree with a 3.15 GPA. Through coursework in business, healthcare, general education, and introductory education classes, I built a strong academic foundation while exploring a variety of career paths. It was during my time at ECTC that I discovered my passion for education and committed to pursuing a career dedicated to helping students learn, grow, and succeed. My early exposure to healthcare also sparked an interest that has come full circle as I now pursue a future career in nursing.
Becoming an Educator
Fall 2021 -- Spring 2023
At Western Kentucky University, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with Honors, graduating Cum Laude. During my time at WKU, I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based instructional practices, classroom management, leadership, and creating meaningful learning experiences that support the academic, social, and emotional growth of every student.
My dedication to academic excellence was recognized throughout multiple honors, including the President's List for Spring 2022, Fall 2022, and Spring 2023, as well as the Dean's List for Fall 2021. In October 2021, I was recognized as Student of the Month by Western Kentucky University's Elizabethtown Campus and the Elizabethtown Rotary Club for my commitment to academic success and involvement within the campus community.
Through my educational experiences and classroom preparation, I developed a passion for serving others, fostering growth, and creating positive learning environments for students.
Continuing My Journey
Fall 2026 -- Present
My commitment to lifelong learning continues at Concord University, where I am pursuing the prerequisite coursework necessary to transition into nursing and expand my passion for serving others through healthcare.
