- Spot the difference- Your create two similar images. The students sit in pairs. Each student gets one of the images. The students describe their images to each other. By listening to each other’s descriptions, they decide what is different about their pictures.
Speech Bubbles-Putting students in pairs and giving each pair a set of images. The students then add speech or thought bubbles to at least two people or objects in the image.
- Writing Prompts- Create images to be used as writing prompts
- Find the connection-Create a grid of four images, connected to an idea or topic [for example; friendship] in a way that's neither too easy nor too hard for the average person to guess. In pairs or small groups, the students figure out what that connection is.
- Which one doesn't belong-The idea is similar as the one, but one image is meant to be the outlier, not connected to the others.
- Taboo- Each student descrbes the card he has without using specific words and the other has to guess what it is a picture of.

- Make your own flashcards. Flashcards are one of the simplest and best materials for teaching vocabulary. There are dozens of fun flashcard activities which work with different levels and age groups. Flashcards can be used to practice:
Critical thinking activities: categorizing new words and concepts.
Matching the pictures to the vocabulary words
Descriptions: Students describe a flashcard and their classmates guessing the word.
Word Race: The teacher places the images around the room. The class is divided into teams. One member of each time comes up. When the teacher says the word in English or the translation, the students race to get the card first.
Quick draw: Two sudents stand back to back. Each student has a picture of a different vocabulary word. When the teacher says "go" they step three steps away then turn around. The first one to identify the word wins.
