Division Selection
Climbers are encouraged to choose the division that best matches the routes they can successfully climb with a sustained effort, not their hardest single send. Routes across all divisions will be available to attempt, but only the top 3 scoring routes count.
This division is intended for climbers who are most comfortable climbing routes in the easier to mid range difficulty levels.
Typical route difficulty up to mid 5.10 range.
Climbers in this division should feel confident climbing consistently but may still be developing endurance, technique, and efficiency.
This division is intended for climbers who regularly climb into the lower to mid 5.11 range.
Typical route difficulty range up to mid 5.11.
Climbers in this division should be comfortable attempting more technical or sustained routes and managing multiple attempts strategically.
This division is intended for experienced climbers who consistently climb into the upper grades.
Typical route difficulty range is up to 5.13.
Climbers in this division should expect challenging sequences, complex movement, and higher physical demands.
Division Placement Based on Scoring
A division review may be triggered when a competitor’s scoring clearly exceeds the typical scoring range of the division and/or when there is an unusually large point spread between that competitor and the rest of the field, indicating performance beyond the intended division level.
