God calls us to reach out in love to those in need. As we bring the love of God to our neighbors we encounter Jesus in all those whom we serve. Jesus says, "Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me." (Mat 25:40) The call to serve is an invitation to discover God in our very midst.
Family Promise is an organization which provides temporary housing and other forms of assistance to homeless families in the Morris County area. Redeemer houses these families in its church building for a week at a time, four or five times a year. Volunteers are needed to prepare sleeping spaces, cook meals and socialize with the Family Promise guests.
Redeemer collects clothing, shoes, blankets, toiletries, laundry supplies which are distributed to families and individuals living in poverty.
Lutheran World Relief (LWR) is a ministry of US Lutherans that works to improve health care, education and agriculture in more than 35 impoverished countries. LWR trains people in local communities to produce local foods, dig low-cost wells and protect or restore their local environments.

The Community Food Pantry and Roxbury Social Services are housed at the Roxbury Health Department, 72 Eyland Avenue, Succasunna. Support for this organization is ongoing through donations of non-perishable food items and supplying meals/wish lists for 10 families at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Faith Kitchen is a soup kitchen for the needy in our surrounding communities that operates out of Trinity Lutheran Church in Dover, New Jersey. Redeemer coordinates the meal preparation and serves a noontime meal on the second Thursday of every month.
