Redeemer Lutheran Church is a faith community gathered together in the power of the Holy Spirit, forgiven and renewed by the grace of God through Word and Sacrament. As a community journeying together in the way of Jesus, we seek to invite others to the journey of faith as we work together to encourage, equip and send out disciples of Jesus for God’s mission of love and mercy in our world.

Redeemer affirms all the ecumenical creeds of the Christian Church, including the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed. We also summarize our beliefs in this way:

We believe that God…

    • created and sustains all that exists,

    • entered human history in the person of Jesus of Nazareth, our crucified and risen Savior who gave himself in love for the world, and

    • continues to work in and through the Church by the power of the Holy Spirit for the redemption of creation.

We believe that we are called by our baptism…

    • to lives of daily repentance and renewal,

    • to be living witnesses by our words and actions to the Good News of Jesus Christ, and

    • to practice compassion, mercy and justice as signs of God’s in-breaking kingdom.

In all these things, we affirm

    • the truth of God’s Word as revealed to us in the Holy Bible,

    • the historic witness of the Church, especially as expressed in the creeds and the Lutheran confessions, and

    • God’s gift of the sacraments for the arousing and strengthening of our faith.

Redeemer is a member of the NJ Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.

See what it means to be part of a church

that is deeply rooted in scripture and always being made new!

Our mission: to invite our world to follow Jesus.

At the center of our life together is Word and Sacrament, our encounter with the living Christ in our community's worship. To find out more about what worship looks like at Redeemer, go to our worship page. Just as Jesus invited everyone he met to come to God's feast, we seek so to follow and to be a welcoming Gospel-community, sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with all.

We invite you to take some time to find out more about who we are and the many ministries in which we serve...and (of course) we hope to see you in church!
