The Red Bull we all know and love really began to take place in the early 2000s once its early expansion began. Red Bull began to release new kinds of drinks starting with Sugar free Red Bull in 2003, and Simply Cola in 2008. 2011 brough the Red Bull editions which brought new flavors to their company other than the regular flavor and cola. Then in 2014 Red Bull introduced the Summer edition.
Today Red Bull controls the market for energy drinks at 42% with the only other brand even close being Monster at 30% in 2022. Red Bull currently operates in 175 countries and in 2022 they sold 11.582 billion cans, an 18.1% increase from 2021. Red Bull has continued to work with sports teams such as Red Bull Skydive team and Red Bull KTM factory racing out of Austria. Oracle Red Bull Racing is their F1 team out of the UK, they have the New York Red Bulls MLS team based in the US. Red Bull works with many other teams and sports on top of these few.
Today Red Bull also has a mission of sustainability. They stick to aluminum because it is the most commonly recycled beverage package in the world and they save space in comparison to glass bottles. The cardboard they use for their cases is 100% recycled cardboard. They also use aluminum to carry less weight making the trucks useless resources. RedBull has ECO can coolers for their drinks and it takes three of them just to match the power a regular laptop does. They even offer a quick sustainability quiz to help educate on the way they recycle and why.
For the future Red Bull isn’t looking to do much different, they plan on remaining consistent with supporting extreme sports teams, continue producing large amounts while remaining a sustainable company environmentally. The primary or most important goal for Red Bull though is to help provide energy for people to achieve their goals one set of wings at a time.
