Will was tired; his wife, Molly, wasn't answering the phone. Dolarhyde was turning into the Red Dragon, he heard voices in his head, he felt scared, but he was excited. What he realized is that in the same body live two people, Dolarhyde and the Red Dragon (the Tooth Fairy). At that moment, Reba arrives, he didn't want to be approached, the voices in his head didn't let him think clearly.
And he found a victim; she will be Sherman. In his heart was Miss Reba McClane. But, in his head, he just wanted to kill. After that day full of paranoia, Monday, he didn't show up for work. What happened to him?
He was just wandering the streets; stopped at a motel. He just thought about killing Reba McClane, but the Dolarhyde didn't want to; first, he wants to kill the Sherman family and wait for another new moon and finally kill Reba, but he didn't like the idea. He just felt guilty that he liked someone as sweet as Reba.
Will, despairing, just watched as time passed, and he could do nothing. Francis Dolarhyde was at the Brooklyn museum, but it was closed, and what he was thinking about was the painting of William Blake. At that moment, Francis' phone rang, and Reba wanted to talk to him.
Will was thinking about the Jacobi house; he wanted to finish the case. He thinks the killer is watching his victims very closely. Will Graham tells Jack Crawford that the tooth fairy was in New York today. Also, Brooklyn had mistreated women. A strange occurrence happened; he had eaten William Blake's painting, "The Red Dragon and the Woman Cloaked in the Sun."
Will was so close to the killer. Dolarhyde wanted to choose Reba or become the Red Dragon; he had a great love for her. At one point, he ran into FBI Agent Will Graham; he was so scared. Somehow, Will had found out everything from his van, the recordings, everything; Will knew that he was the killer. His voices in his head wouldn't let him think; he thought he had betrayed himself. He wants to kill Will.
Francis went to visit Reba; she thought he had called her, but it never happened. They tried to talk; they were in bed, and he confided in her, “I AM THE RED DRAGON.” Apparently, he wanted to kill her, but his feelings for her prevented it.
Will knew where Francis works; he wants to catch him. Francis is still with Reba. It was difficult for agents Will and Jack to find Francis' house. They entered the house, and Agent Jack Crawford rescues Reba because the Red Dragon used her as a shield. Her house caught fire, and a gunshot was heard, and the Red Dragon was killed.
Reba finally cries in Agent Crawford's arms. The young lady had to testify; she finally told everything. Will and Jack went to see Francis' burned house. Will wanted to understand Dolarhyde, how his obsession with the red dragon originated. He would never know. It was time for Will to go home. He called his wife, Molly. He just wished he had the life they had before.
When Will was fishing, Jack tells him something about Dolarhyde. He appeared in front of Will and jumped on him; he wanted to kill him with a knife. Molly shoots Dolarhyde before he killed Will. At the hospital, Jack sees Molly. Will was in surgery; the killer attacked him in the face. She was very worried and nervous.
Hannibal sent another letter to Will.
"Expressing that he and Will Graham will be back together. And he hoped the scar on his face wouldn't look ugly".
Will woke up alone, asking how Dolarhyde died; Crawford told him everything. In Agent Crawford's notebook, he wrote to Molly, “I love you.”
The end.
Will Hannibal Lecter return?
REFLECTION
At the end of the book, Will Graham must struggle with the aftermath of being in danger and his family. On how Hannibal will always be present in life and his obsession with Will.
It made me reflect that every person carries scars every day and his emotional imbalance. In this section, it teaches us to know who we are, how a blind person did not judge Francis Dolarhyde just because she was blind; she felt love for him, but she let herself be dominated by the Dragon.
In the end, Will just wants to have a quiet life with his family. I learned that if you have a mental disorder, you can be happy.
