Following Jesus is to be done within meaningful community. We think that Community Groups are the most important ministry of Reclamation Church. We highly encourage everyone and anyone to get involved whether they are part of our church, seeking to know more about God, or go to another church and are looking for weekly encouragement.
Here are a few highlights of Community Groups:
Fellowship and Community:
Community groups provide a place for connection and to experience Christian fellowship and the mercy of God in Jesus. Through regular, relaxed gatherings, we hope to have a true place of belonging and unity in the church community, as well as a pathway towards deeper service and leadership at Reclamation Church.
"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." (Hebrews 10:24-25)
Spiritual Growth and Discipleship:
Community groups offer opportunities for us to engage in God's Word and prayer in community. Through discussion, looking for God's wisdom in the Word, and applying those Gospel truths to our real-life needs, we can grow and deepen our understanding of Christ together and how to submit our lives for His glory.
"And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers." (Acts 2:42)
Accountability and Support:
Community Groups are where we get to be honest about our struggles and remind each other of the hope we have in Jesus. It’s not about pretending we’ve got it all together — it’s about pointing one another to the grace of God when we don’t. In Groups, we pray, encourage each other, and walk through life together — all because Christ has first loved us.
"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." (James 5:16)
