1. Adding Supported Applications
To use ChatN, begin by adding the applications you want to manage inside the app.
Depending on the added application's compatibility, ChatN may display up to three tabs:
Messages Tab – for viewing organized notification content
Statuses Tab – for viewing status media already stored on your device
Media Tab – for displaying and recovering media that has been downloaded within the last two days
Applications that show only the Messages tab support notification organization only and do not support statuses or media recovery.
2. Granting Required Permissions
ChatN requires certain permissions to function properly. These permissions must be granted by the user manually:
Notification Access (Required)
This permission allows ChatN to display notification content from apps you choose to add.
Without it, ChatN cannot show messages or notifications.
Statuses Folder Access (If Supported)
Some applications support the Statuses Tab.
ChatN may request access to the application's Statuses folder to display status media that already exists on your device and allow you to save it locally.
Media Access (Optional)
If the added application supports the Media Tab, ChatN may request media access to temporarily store newly downloaded media so it can be recovered if lost within a two-day period.
You may decline this permission at any time if you do not wish to keep temporary copies of media.
3. Ensuring Proper Notification Handling
For ChatN to display and organize notifications correctly:
Ensure notifications for added applications are enabled.
Ensure notifications are not muted, blocked, or restricted.
An active internet connection may be required for the notification to be received before deletion, as ChatN cannot recover messages that never reached your device.
4. Enabling Automatic Media Download
Media recovery depends on the supported application downloading the media to your device.
To ensure successful recovery:
Enable automatic media download in the added application.
Only media that was successfully downloaded can be recovered.
Media that was not downloaded cannot be restored.
5. Understanding System Limitations
Recovery reliability may vary due to:
Device battery optimization
Power saving restrictions
Operating system behavior
App-specific limitations
These are system-level factors outside ChatN ’s control.
6. Using the Organized Interface
After permissions are granted and apps are added:
View notifications inside the Messages Tab in a clean and organized way
Re-view and optionally save stored statuses inside the Statuses Tab
Recover recently downloaded media inside the Media Tab (where supported)
All features operate locally on your device only.
7. Feature Availability Based on App Version
The Media Tab is available exclusively for paid users and allows access to recently downloaded media that can be recovered within the supported time limit.
Access to deleted statuses is also limited to the paid version.
However, viewing existing statuses that are still present in the supported application's Statuses folder remains available to free users.
